He is a marathon runner, world-class athlete and honorary citizen of Kazakhstan. In 1990, he was listed in the World Guinness Book for: running 23 marathons in 23 days (42km 195m per day), 30 marathons in 15 days, 75 marathons in 12 months, 226 marathons in a year, climbing Mt. Elbrus (5,642km) in 7 days, running the Kara Kum Desert in 1992 (1,200km in 20 days), through Sahara (in 24 days) in 1993, through Victoria Desert (1,700km in 24 days) in 1993, through Nevada (1,218km in 17 days) in 1994. In 1992-1993 he was ranked among top 10 athletes of Kazakhstan.
Dinara KULIBAYEVA, Director of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Educational Foundation, was born 52 years ago (1967). Dinara Kulibayeva was born in Temirtau, Karaganda region. She is a graduate of the Lunacharsky State Institute for Theatre Arts ( (Moscow) with a diploma in Economy (1989). In 1998 she graduated from the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research with a Master’s degree in Business Administration (1998). She started her career as an Inspector at Kazglavkino of the State Culture Committee of the Kazakh SSR (1990-1991). Then she worked as a Head of the Repertoire Department of Kazkinoproject (1991-1995), Head of the Directorate of the Bobek International Children’s Charity Fund (1996-1998); member of the Council of Directors of JSC Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages (since 2001). Awarded with Parassat Order (2008)
