1926 – The first All-Union Congress of Turkologists is opened in Baku, Azerbaijan.

1993 – The State Borders Act aimed at State borders legislation betterment takes effect in Kazakhstan.

1999 – Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan signs the Treaty on the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space.

2005 – Then President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev unveils the bas-relief sculpture to Shoqan Walikhanov and Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

2014 – Then UN Kazakh Ambassador Kairat Abdrakhmanov and Kiribati’s UN Permanent Representative Makurita Baaro sign the Joint Communiqué establishing dimplomatic relations between the countries.
