International Day of Education is held each year on January 24. On December 3, 2018, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming January 24 as International Day of Education, in celebration of the role of learning for global peace and sustainable development.
On January 24, ice cream lovers around the world celebrate Eskimo Pie Day. It is a food day dedicated to a brand of chocolate-covered vanilla ice cream bar. Eskimo Pie was invented by the schoolteacher and candy store owner Christian Kent Nelson from Onawa, Iowa
1995 – Brussels holds the solemn opening ceremony of the Kazakh Embassy in the Benelux countries, where then President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, members of the Royal Family and Belgium Government, reps of the diplomatic corps took part.
1996 – The Presidential decree on the National Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the force of law is issued.
2013 – The branch of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan is opened in Pavlodar city.
2014 – The official opening of the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan is opened in Hamburg, Germany.
2018 – The Center for Kazakh Literature and Culture is opened in Washington.
2019 – The Archive 2025 research center is set up at the National Archives of Kazakhstan and Center of Manuscripts and Rare Books.
