National Day of Dombra
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev decreed to establish the first Sunday of July as the National Day of Dombra. The day is intended to unite the society around the idea of preserving national culture, identity, and modernization. In 2018, this holiday was celebrated for the first time.
1982 - The Memorial House Museum of Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova (1922-1943) opens in Uralsk.
2010 - Unique collection of Kazakh musical works "1000 Songs of the Kazakh People. Selected Works" by Aleksandr Zatayevich is published in the Republic of Poland with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures declared by the United Nations at the initiative of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2013 - The Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazan opens its doors.
- "The Book of Legends. Mysterious Forest", the first Kazakhstani fantasy film, is premiered in Zagreb, Croatia.
2015 - The film about EXPO 2017 Astana wins first place at the World Media Festival in Germany.
2018 - Jumping 12.9 meters in the women's triple jump event at the Israeli Track & Field Open Championship, Kazakhstan's Mariya Ovchinnikova bags a bronze medal.
