Mets issue storm alert for 8 rgns of Kazakhstan
NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM – The National Met Office Kazhydromet has put eight regions of Kazakhstan on storm alert, Kazinform reports.
According to Kazhydromet, in the morning and afternoon on September 14, the north and west of Akmola region is to brace for southwesterly wind with gusts of up to 15-20mps.
Atyrau region’s west and center are to expect fog.
East Kazakhstan region is to see fog in the north at night on September 14. Temperature is to dip as low as -3 degrees Celsius in the north and northeast of the region. Beskaragai district is to expect high fire hazard.
Zhambyl region’s northern and northeastern parts are to brace for northeasterly wind turning northwestward with gusts of up to 15-20mps on September 14 and in the afternoon on September 15. High fire hazard is to persist.
-2 degrees Celsius frosts are to grip the northeast of Karaganda region at night on September 14. The region’s west is to brace for high fire hazard.
Kostanay region is to expect thunderstorm in the northeast in the morning and afternoon on September 14. Southwesterly wind is to reach 15-20mps in the north during the day.
Mangistau region is to brace for dust storm in the southeast during the day. Easterly wind turning southwestward is to reach 15-20mps in the southeast at daytime.
Fog is predicted for the northwest of North Kazakhstan region at night and in the morning on September 14. Westerly, southwesterly wind gusting up to 15-20mps is forecast for the south during the day.
